Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations
Introduced in 2001, the .NAME generic TLD is the sole TLD supposed to be for personal web pages only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other labels people are known by. At the beginning, only 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you desired to book john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already acquired third-level names remained working.
Through our firm, you can get your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to edit the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our company if you obtain its EPP transfer key from the present registrar and we will renew it once the transfer has been finished. There are no specific regulations on who can acquire a dot NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the concept behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration could be challenged.
The dot NAME domain is among the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no further cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the right spelling in your local language.
